Why We Exist

To achieve the 17 goals for sustainable development, the ACEC believes that Africa needs to strengthen good governance and anti-corruption; otherwise sustainable development will remain a far-fetched dream in the distant future. We believe that by enhancing skills and institutional measures to proactively prevent and manage corruption risks in the workplace, both private and public sector institutions are better positioned to foster good governance and help developing nations to achieve meaningful sustainable development. For Africa and other developing countries, good governance and effective anti-corruption measures are essential building blocks for attaining sustainable development and indeed the sustainable development goals by 2030.

Hence, as a training partner, the ACEC is ready to collaborate meaningfully with all governments in developing countries by providing a range of proactive capacity development interventions in anti-corruption and good governance to leaders, directors, managers and employees across sectors including the public, private, development community, NGO organizations/institutions, faith-based organisations and community-based . The overall aim is to empower the sectors to proactively promote good governance and address serious and systemic corrupt incidences in the workplace with a focus on strengthening institutional frameworks including anti-corruption policies, internal anti-corruption guidelines and capacity development in these areas as well good governance in pursuance of equitable sustainable development.
